Evidence-informed Practice Implementation Plan

Each student in N. 4510 FB will complete an individual Evidence-informed Practice Implementation Plan (EIIP) at the end of the course. The EIIP will include application of the steps proposed in the ARCC model proposed by Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt (2011).

Preparation of this assignment will commence with articulation of a specific nursing practice question. The question shall be selected by the student and approved by the course instructor.

The appraisal of evidence will involve a literature review and synthesis of evidence. This constitutes a significant portion of the paper and should be prepared carefully to convey to the reader the state of evidence related to the particular problem or issue under discussion.

The implementation plan will be focused on a particular health care organization, with consideration of policies and practices within that organization. Using the ARCC model, the student will prepare a hypothetical plan to bring about a change in nursing practice based on the best evidence available.

The paper will reflect a careful selection of information to support each phase of the plan, balancing thoroughness with succinctness. Therefore, there is no specific page number for this assignment. The assignment will be prepared using APA format, and will be carefully proof-read to ensure appropriate use of language (spelling, punctuation, grammar, syntax, etc.).
